Step 3: Import to Shopify · MS Gong Ride Setup

Goal: create the Shopify orders in one pass.

EZ Importer is a Shopify app that reads your prepared CSV and creates real orders, matching each line item to the right product and size by ID.

Steps

Go to ezimporter.highviewapps.com and sign in as MS Plus.
Choose Import Orders.
Give the import a name you will recognise later. Include the event and the date, for example "Gong merch 31 Jul".
Select the mapping Funraisin/DonorDrive Imports.
Select your prepared CSV file.
Choose Review Import. Do not skip this.
Check the Record Count and Orders To Import figures against what you expected from Step 2. If either number surprises you, stop and go back to the file. It is much easier to fix a spreadsheet than to unpick imported orders.
Choose Import.

Settings that are already correct, and must stay that way

Setting	Value	Why
Email Customer on Import	Off	Buyers should not get a Shopify order email. They already have their Funraisin receipt.
Check for duplicates	Off	Leave it off, and control duplicates in your file instead. Turning it on has knock-on effects for the other events sharing this mapping.
Order number	Auto-generated by Shopify	Do not try to carry the Funraisin reference across as the order number.
Line item matching	By Product and Variant ID	Not by SKU. SKUs are reused across campaigns and will attach items to the wrong year's product.

Note

The mapping is shared with the Walk and Mega events. Do not change it to solve a problem with one event's file. Fix the file.

What happens automatically once the orders exist

You do not need to do anything to trigger these. Creating the order is the trigger.

Note

Tickets send themselves. The moment a ticket line item lands in Shopify, Guest Manager creates the attendee and emails the ticket. Do not also send a ticket manually or the buyer gets two.
